Dietivation ("the app") creates AI-generated images of your future self at your goal weight and helps you track your progress. This policy explains what information the app handles.
Anonymous identifier. On first launch, the app generates a random anonymous ID (UUID) and stores it on your device. It is sent with image-generation requests to enforce usage limits and prevent abuse, and it is also used as your anonymous ID in PostHog (analytics) and RevenueCat (subscriptions). It is never linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
Your photo. To create your images, the photo you provide (and basic appearance attributes extracted from it once, such as skin tone and hair color) is sent through our server to fal.ai, our AI image provider. Our server is stateless: it does not store your photos or the generated images. It only relays them and keeps per-ID request counters for rate limiting.
On-device data. Your profile (onboarding answers), weight entries, generated images, and settings are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, and deleting the app deletes them.
Notifications. Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No device token or notification content is sent to any server.
Analytics (PostHog). We use PostHog to understand overall usage (e.g. app opens, image generations, screen views), tied only to the anonymous ID above. The SDK also collects standard device info such as OS version, device model, and app version.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; it receives the anonymous ID and the Apple receipt — never your name, email, or card details. Payment information is handled solely by Apple. Subscriptions auto-renew, and billing and refunds follow Apple's policies.
Support. If you email us, we keep your email address and message in order to reply.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
